Spinning, Dying, Knitting.....

I purchased a Sandra Spinning Wheel.  This spinning wheel is battery operated, stained the color I wanted, bourdeau, and it will spin thicker yarns!  I have been spinning odds and ends of fiber trying to use it all up.  (Fat chance of using it all since I have a storage shed full of it.  LOL)  I have a large tub full of wool to spin for a rug I want to make on my large peg loom. So far, I have already spun up 3 bobbins of odd and ends wool for the new rug.

This fiber came from Jenny Fields Fiber.  I bought 4 ounces and this skein is a little over 3 ounces.  I am not sure what I will make with it.  Probably another hat.....I am out of my hat making rut and I am onto making socks, but I think there is enough of this wool to make a child-sized hat.

This is very bright colored yarn.  I love it!  The colors I used to dye the yarn is fuchsia, pink, sky blue, and periwinkle.  The naked superwash Merino was raised and milled in Pensylvania.  I purchased the wool from Walnut Farm Designs.

I knitted a sample with the yarn and made the sample into a doll skirt for one of the grand-daughters.

I hope you have a great weekend with a lot of creativity!
