Many pie crust recipes exist, but the one my mother has used for years is the attached recipe. I have no idea where this recipe originated and I think It included milk at one time. It recipe very flaky..........................Try it. Mom is a great pie baker!!!
Mama Norma’s Flaky Pie Crust
2 cups flour
2/3 cup oil
1/3 cup water
Pinch of salt
Stir by hand until it forms a ball. Divide into 2 pieces. Roll out between 2 pieces of wax paper. Prepare as usual, crimping the edges once the pie is filled. Bake as usual.
Cut warm and eaten warm........They do not stay around long. |
