Child hat or beanie

With recently spun yarn, I made a child hat/beanie.  I haven't decided if it was for a boy or a girl.  I had a particular boy in mind, but I thought I should run a ribbon through the bottom triple crochet stitches and see if it would look good for a girl.  I asked my grand-daughter what she thought.  She said she wouldn't wear it.  I guess it is not girlie enough even with the ribbons.  LOL  This wool is plied with a blue cotton thread and two wool strands making a triple ply yarn.

Thank you for viewing.  Dawnie

Fun-looking child hat!

This week I made a couple of pot holders using my inspiration piece to give me inspiration and a direction to go with color and design.  I put black, white, cotton candy pink, and a bright hot pink together.  The bright pink with black reminded me of Amish quilts.

After making the pot holders, I made a child hat using several yarns of various fibers and colors.  I like the old-fashioned look for kids, but with a twist by using the various yarns.

I hope you have a great week!  May God bless you and yours!  Dawnie
